Private rooms and a screenshot shield: what's new for your live streams
Private rooms: paid one-on-one live streams, by invitation only. Plus a screenshot shield on every live stream – what it does, what it can't do, and how the money works.

Every club has the main stage – and a room at the back with a curtain, where not everyone gets in. Now SHEDANX has one too: the private room. Alongside it comes a screenshot shield that runs in every live stream. Here's how both work, and where their limits are.
The private room: just the two of you
A private room is a private live stream for you and exactly one fan. Nobody else gets in, and nobody else can see you're live: to everyone else, you look offline.
Here's how it goes:
- You send the invite. You can invite fans who follow you or are members.
- You decide the price, the length and when it starts – right away or on a later day. Add a short note if you like.
- The fan pays up front from their credit. Only then is the session booked.
- You start when it's time. The fan gets a heads-up and joins – with their mic if they want. Their camera only goes on if they've proved their age with us and you say yes. You can take that back any time.
- The clock runs. When time's up, the session ends on its own.
Tips and live chat work just like in any other live stream.
How the money works
- The fan pays the price up front from their credit. Until you start, the money is reserved.
- When you start the session, it's yours – at your usual share: 85 % of net revenue, or 90 % as a founder.
- If you don't start within 30 minutes of the agreed time, the fan gets the amount back as credit. The same goes if you cancel a paid invite.
- Once the fan has paid, they can't cancel. And once the session is running, the amount is final – even if they turn up late or leave early.
That way everyone knows where they stand: you don't work for free, and the fan never pays for a session that doesn't happen.
What a private room is good for
A private room is the top rung of your price ladder – for the fans who are already members, buy your sets and message you regularly. Half an hour for one person is the most exclusive thing you offer, so price it so the time is worth it to you. More on that in how to price your subscription, PPV and VIP sets.
A screenshot shield on every live stream
The screenshot shield is on in every live stream – open to all, members only, limited seats and private rooms. There's nothing to switch on.
What it does
- The picture goes black. If we detect a screenshot attempt, that person sees black instead of your stream.
- You see in the chat who it was: "@max tried to take a screenshot". Tap "Remove" and they're out – until the stream ends.
- Fans know the rules. Before every live stream they see a notice: screenshots and recordings aren't allowed, and anyone who tries gets noticed. That alone puts a lot of people off.
What it can't do
Honest as always: no shield is airtight, on any platform. Nothing helps against a second phone or a camera pointed at the screen. How the shield works in detail is explained in the app under Help.
So the screenshot shield makes it a lot harder and shows you who tries. It doesn't replace the habits that protect you anyway: nothing in shot that gives away where you live, and clear boundaries. Our checklist is in creator safety and privacy. If something still turns up elsewhere, report it through our takedown form.
What's still coming
Interactive toys for your live streams and custom requests are in the works, but not live yet. For everything else that's new – watermarks, the tax pack, free trials – read what's new on SHEDANX.
The founder phase is still open: start now and get 90 % of net revenue, with no end date. Put me on the list – free, no spam. Every feature is on the creator page.
Frequently asked questions
What is a private room on SHEDANX?
A private live stream for one creator and exactly one fan, by invitation only. The creator sets the price, the length and the start time, and the fan pays up front from their credit. To everyone else, the creator looks offline during the session.
What happens to the money if the session doesn't take place?
It's reserved until the start. If the creator doesn't start within 30 minutes of the agreed time, or cancels, the fan gets the amount back as credit. Once the session has started, the amount is final.
Can the screenshot shield stop screenshots completely?
No, no shield is airtight. If we detect a screenshot attempt, the picture goes black and the creator sees in the chat who it was – and can remove them from the stream with one tap. Nothing helps against a second phone or a camera pointed at the screen.
Are screenshots allowed in live streams?
No. Screenshots and recordings of live streams aren't allowed on SHEDANX. We remind every fan of that before the stream starts.
